Annual American Indian Crafts Day

Craftspeople from throughout the region will display, demonstrate and sell their arts and crafts at the Annual American Indian Crafts Day at Northwestern State University of Saturday, December 6th. Crafts Day is from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Williamson Museum in Room 208 of Kyser Hall. Admission is free and open to the public. The event is held each year on the same day as the Natchitoches Christmas Festival.

Basketry, file', beadwork, drums, leatherwork, wood carving and other handmade items will be for sale. Craftspeople are expected from several Louisiana tribes. 

American Indian Crafts Day is sponsored by the School of Social Sciences and Applied Programs, the American Indian Studies Program, the Williamson Museum and the Native American Student Association. For more information, contact Dr. Pete Gregory at gregoryh@nsula.edu.
