April Chamber Luncheon

 The Advanced Manufacturing Technician (AMT) program is an apprenticeship supported by area manufacturers. Program participants take classes at the local community college and university. They are awarded an AMT certificate from Central Louisiana Technical Community College (CLTCC) and an Associate of Science Degree in Engineering Technology by Northwestern State University (NSU).
The Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (FAME) is the premier advanced manufacturing workforce education and development program in the country, helping students become highly skilled, globally competitive, well-rounded and sought-after talent that can meet the unique needs and challenges of today?s modern manufacturing workforce. Every year, FAME graduates transition into well-paying, diverse career pathways in critical disciplines across the manufacturing industry and across the country.
We will hear from NSU President Dr. Chris Maggio, CLTCC Chancellor Jimmy Sawtelle, Boise Cascade employee and GeauxFAME Chairman Tommy Peek, and AMT Student Kristy Willis. This panel will outline the advantages and importance of this program to our community and local economy. 
Parking
Parking will be available at First United Methodist Church, our friends, neighbors, and Chamber members! Special thanks to FUMC for their partnership!
Format
11:00 - Registration opens near the bust at 2nd and Amulet.
11:30 - Lunch boxes will be available for pickup under the pavilion. You must have an arm band from the registration table to pickup lunch. Seating will be available in the amphitheater. Thanks to our generous sponsor, Louisiana Eye and Laser, the Chamber will provide stadium seat cushions.
12:00 - Program begins. There will be a QR code available at the luncheon so that you can follow along with the presentation on your smart phones.
Safety
Attendees are asked to wear masks unless eating or drinking and socially distance as much as possible. Please refrain from shaking hands - elbows or fist bumps for now please! The Chamber will provide hand sanitizer at registration and the lunch line.

What is the Cost?
$25 for members and $30 for non-members. As a reminder, members at the Preferred level or higher have tickets included with their membership.
