LSMSA Math Explorers' Day Camp
The LSMSA Math Explorers' Day Camp is an opportunity for Natchitoches Parish middle school students (any rising 6th, 7th, and 8th grade student) to spend a week involved in hands-on and team learning experiences that build math skills as well as an understanding of math in the "real world".
This opportunity is sponsored by the Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce and the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts.
Field Trips include visits to area banks, insurance companies, and businesses in order to find out about the applications of math in their day-to-day operations.
Day Camp Faculty:
Ms. Martha Morales, M.S. - highly successful teacher for the Louisiana Virtual School for twelve years; including AP Calculus.
Mr. Jacob Spielbauer, M.S. - LSMSA Health and Sports Ed teacher and assistant coach for NSU men's basketball team.
LSMSA alumni will also serve as teaching assistants.

Between 7:45 and 9:00 am - drop off at LSMSA Gym for recreational activities.
9:00 - 10:00 - First math session
10:15 - noon - Math field trip
12:15 - 1:00 - Lunch and recreation
1:15 - 3:15 - Second math session
3:30 - 4:00 - Pick up a the Gym
On Friday, June 28, the program ends at noon.

Fees/Admission
$35 registration fee, which includes daily lunch, snack, field trip travel, and recreational activities.
