Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must meet state and federal requirements for paraprofessional employment.
- Experience working with young children preferred.
- Experience supporting students with behavioral, social-emotional, or developmental needs preferred.

Early Elementary Behavior Intervention Specialist and Director of Student Services.

Job Goal:
To assist the Early Elementary Behavior Intervention Specialist in providing a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment for students exhibiting behavioral and social-emotional challenges while promoting positive behavior, self-regulation, and academic success.
Performance Resposibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of behavioral, social-emotional, and academic interventions for students participating in the behavior intervention program.
- Support students in developing self-regulation, social skills, communication skills, and appropriate school behaviors.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.
- Provide supervision and support during classroom acitivites, transitions, meals, recess, and other school-related activities.
- Utilize approved de-escalation strategies and intervention techniques to support students during behavioral crises.
- Assist with preparing instructional materials, organizing classroom resources, and maintaining classroom records.
- Collaborate with teachers, spcialists, administrators, organizing classroom resources, and maintaining classroom records.
- COllaborate with teachers, specialists, administrators, and the other staff to support student success.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student records and information.
- Participate in training and professional development activities related to behavior intervention, student support, and safety procedures.
- Perform such other tasks and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the Early Elementary Behavior Intervention Specialist and the Director of Student Services.

Terms of Employment: 9 Months
Evaluation:
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with Louisiana Department of Education and Natchitoches Parish School Board policy.
